When I was 6 my dad took our family from San Jose to Santa Cruz. I remember seeing the roller coaster from the parking lot. We went on the beach, set up our towels, and played all day in the water. It was so much fun. My dad passed away a year later. Santa Cruz is one of the most special and happiest memories I have.
