My family has been going to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk further back than my lifetime. This is my 25 year old grandmother in 1936. One of my favorite stories is when she was 75, we were in line for the Giant Dipper. Two young boys ahead of us kept turning around and looking at her. Finally they asked if she knew what ride she was in line for, to which she replied, “I’ve been riding this roller coaster since 1924!
