This interesting 1961 photo shows the seawall improvement project near the Giant Dipper. The visionary man in the suit was company president Laurence Canfield. He also expanded the parking lots and planted all the palm trees on Beach Street. His son Charles runs the Boardwalk today. Thanks to their vision and solid business practices, the Boardwalk continues to be the Best Seaside Amusement Park in the World!
