My son Daniel and his grandma, Debbie and I went to the Boardwalk. It was Daniel’s first time! As we walked along the Boardwalk, so many special memories raced through my mind to my childhood when I would spend so many happy summers with my dad and grandma.. The Giant Dipper was our favorite and we would go on it over and over again, always sitting as close to the front as possible. So now, as an adult with my own child, it only made sense to now make new memories with him, that he can one day remember fondly as well! When his grandma and I made our way to the beach, Daniel loved it right away and started running towards the water smiling and laughing! His grandma and I had our cameras out running alongside him, she on one side of him, I’m on the other side. We both started laughing our heads off as we looked at each other and I made the comment how we look like the paparazzi trying to get the best photos of him!! It was a beautiful memory I will always cherish, especially since his grandma has since passed away. I love the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!
