My Dad and I riding the Dipper for probably the 5th time that day. He always took me to the Boardwalk several times during our trips. Usually on bring a Coke can get .50 cent rides and hot dogs nights. We would do the Dipper again and again. Once, he made paper fangs out of scrap paper, put them on his incisors and stared right at the camera like he was Kiefer Sutherland in Lost Boys 😂 People viewing the photos at the booth at the exit were all atwitter, just staring, gasping, and pointing at the photo. It was hilarious.
I lost my Dad in February 2017. He only got to take my daughter to the Boardwalk once, and she was too little to ride the Dipper. Nevertheless, I take a picture for him under the sign every time we go, and it’s one of our favorite places.
