My great grandfather built a place in Seabright back in the 20 or 30s, and we used to come down when I was a kid back in the 60s. I remember we could see the top of the flagpoles on the Giant Dipper from the upstairs bathroom in the house. And at night we could actually hear the yells of the people as they went down the big hill on the Giant Dipper.
One night the Boardwalk had a special (something like .10/ride) going on, and I rode on the Giant Dipper 5 times in a row! It was so cool.
