As a child every summer our vacation wouldn’t be to Disneyland, it was to the Boardwalk. Full disclosure-we did visit Disneyland twice but I did not like it as it was not the same as the Boardwalk. My favorite ride then and now, as an adult, is the Looff Carousel. I still go for a horse on the outer edge so I can stretch and reach for the rings which is a lot easier now! As I feel it start to slow down I close my eyes after I pass the bench that my mother would sit on waiting for me. I open them again hoping to see her sitting there once again. Maybe some day she will be.
