As a young musician, the Cocoanut Grove was such an exciting venue to perform, the 60s at its best! Our group, the Caveliers, took 2nd place to a local band ‘Corny And the Corvettes’. Our band enjoyed the beach during the day, and relished performing at the Grove in the “cool” Santa Cruz evening hours.
